paris and theo

the story between paris and theo would best be categorized as a BL, or a romantic drama. there's technically more to it but i don't really know how to label it. i have a story roughly outlined and i plan on drawing it whenever i have time, but it's not a priority at the moment. the work here can hopefully give you an idea of the themes and dynamics at play.

paris and theo are like my toy dolls and therefore have existed in many forms. some of the content here is canon, but quite a lot of it is not. non-canonical content will be labeled, everything else can be assumed to be canon.

about theo

21 year old theo is the lead singer in the band he's been in with his best friend paris since high school: red velour.

having grown up in a machista mexican household, where any hint of femininity or homosexuality was immediately mocked and punished, a freshly-moved out theo now finds himself struggling to hold back on desires he'd previously suppressed for his safety.

one night, an on-stage kiss with paris causes theo to get caught in a ricochet between his true desires and the social repercussions of being who he is.

while not secretive about being gay, he isn't open about it either. if people ask why he isn't dating anyone, he'll claim his heart is too busy with the band--which is true because he's deeply in love with theo.

convinced theo is straight and will never feel the same, paris instead tries to content himself with just being by his side as friends, roommates, and bandmates, hoping to eventually fall for someone else.

he thinks theo kissing him will forever remain a beautiful dream, but when it really happens, paris' life becomes a waking nightmare.
